Anarchy Online is a sci-fi themed MMORPG set almost 30,000 years into the future, on the desert world of Rubi-Ka. Players will assume the role of new colonists to Rubi-Ka or the Shadowlands. game was WAY too hard to play. you always face one direction. no matter how you move, unless you stop and change your view direction. a pain. game mechanics are weird and esoteric. unnecessarily complicated and unwieldy. you start out getting a lot of stuff, but you have no idea what it is or what to do with it. you don’t know how to use it or equip it. i sold off a lot of stuff, only to finally need one thing I sold that I could find nowhere else and couldn’t go back and get it to drop again. No way to know what is good and useful and a keeper, or just trash. You are given missions to go get or do something, but no indication of WHERE to go to even look for it.
I thought I was doing pretty good, till I wandered off on a mission and was politely killed by something I could barely damage, and my movement got slowed so i couldn’t run. game mechanics are so hard I couldn’t heal in battle, and I got so frustrated I just quit and erased the damn thing.
